To adjust widget position in the theme editor, use app blocks. Extensell offers four types of app blocks in the theme editor:
- Product Add-ons: app block for embedding “product add-ons” widget
- Buy X Get Y: app block for embedding “Buy X Get Y” widget
- FBT Bundle: app block for embedding “frequently bought together” widget
- Related Products: app block for embedding “Related product” widget widget
Currently, we only support these app blocks on the product pages. To change widget position in your Shopify store, compatible with Online Store 2.0 themes, follow these steps:
1- First, log in to your Shopify store and navigate to the “Widget Setting” section
2- In the “Widget Setting” section, click on the “Go to theme editor” link to open the theme editor for your store.
3- In the theme editor, you will see a list of sections on the left side of the screen. Meanwhile, scroll down and find the section where you want to add the app block.
4-Click ‘Add block’ at the end of each section, or ‘Add section’ for a separate widget section.
If you can’t see the app blocks in your theme editor, your theme doesn’t yet support Online Store 2.0.
5- In the opening popup’s ‘APPS’ section, select the app block for the widget type you want to create; it will be added to the section.
6-To change the widget position, press and hold the dotted right-side button of the app block, then drag and drop it to your preferred location. For example, you can move the ‘Add-on’ block above the ‘Buy button’.
7- To delete a block, click on the app block, and a sidebar will open on the right. Once the sidebar title matches the app block’s name, click ‘Remove block’ at the bottom of the sidebar.
8- Save your changes and in your store, check a product page containing that kind of offer which you modify the position of its block. Considering this demo you should check a product page containing an add-ons offer to see the app block in action.
App blocks do not modify your theme code and are automatically deleted when you delete the app from your store.
